The products, MSA Latchways fall protection systems, Ascent™ walkways, Ascent™ ladders, Ascent™ step over units and stairs have all been developed specifically for use on Aluminium standing seam roofs.
Where applicable the products have been tested on Aluminium standing seam roofs paying particular attention to the need to allow for expansion within the product design and to incorporate non-penetrative fixing details.

With a focus on design and testing, the discreet, flexible and reliable nature of the Latchways® Fall Protection Systems provide the ideal complement to protect people working at height while accessing roofs for maintenance and inspection.
Safety Fabrications are specialists in the design and fabrication of vertical access ladders; often referred to as Cat ladders. Our access safety ladders are manufactured in both mild steel and aluminium in accordance with BS EN 4211:2005 & A1:2008 and are specifically designed to comply with Health & Safety requirements.
Ascent companionway ladders are designed to suit angles between 60–75 degrees, companionway ladders are deemed easier to ascend than fixed access ladders. We manufacture our companionway ladders in both mild steel galvanised and aluminium in accordance with BS EN 4211:2005 & A1:2008.
Ascent step units provide simple access solutions to complex access issues. We manufacture a range of step units in both mild steel and aluminium to clear obstructions such as pipework, ducting, parapet walls, gutters, cable trays and changes in roof level. The issues we overcome may be complex but our aim has been to create a simple “flat pack” step unit solution.
The Ascent aluminium walkway system is a BS EN 516 compliant open grillage walkway system designed to create a safe walking surface & protection for standing seam , metal profile & flat / single ply membrane roofs. The Ascent walkway can be both levelled & stepped as the roof slope demands.
