Ascent companionway or ships ladders as they are commonly referred are often a preferred choice when a ladder is to be used frequently within a place of work. Companionway / Ships ladders are acknowledged to be easier and safer to use than a vertical ladder.

The companionway / ships ladder is angled between 60 to 75 degrees & is often used when space is at a premium and there is not the room for a stair.

The ladders are designed to provide a simple access solution to roof areas, items of plant or raised floors such as mezzanines.

We manufacture our ladders in both mild steel galvanised and aluminium in accordance with BS EN ISO 14122-4:2016.

As with all the Ascent range of ladders they are designed for ease of install and can be supplied with either a bracketry fixing kit or adjustable freestanding feet where floor / roof mounting is required.

The fixing brackets we provide allow the ladders to be affixed to a wide range of backgrounds.

As well as fixing brackets, our self closing gates are also another great addition to the ladder. Click here to read more about them!
